Ahhoooyyy mates!
Welcome to DOCKERS on board, attention to all mates!
Let me lead you in to the history of Dockers that you are on board.
How did Dockers all started?
DOCKERS started out in the early 20th century, having the khaki culture. Knowing that every men needs a khaki in their wardrobe, from workplace to gathering with friends.
From its origination more than 25 years ago, Dockers® kick start the industry with a range of clothes that made with good quality and fitting just for the customers requirements which it made its own, gaining popularity was instant. Dockers® Khakis became the alternative to a more formal way of dress, gradually finding its way into the workplace as a more comfortable substitute to the suit. By the mid 1990s, Dockers® hit $1 billion in sales as the brand was launched worldwide including Canada, New Zealand, Chile, Costa Rica, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia and Europe.
Research then showed that Dockers® Khakis were found in the wardrobes of eight out of 10 American men, becoming the definite Khaki pant brand coming out on top despite strong competition from other cheaper High Street brands.
Showing what were their themes and how did they came out with different collections.
Khaki came about in the 1900s as a fashion item, but it started slightly earlier from India in October 1846.
Sir Henry Lumsden, the commanding officer of a British regiment stationed in the Punjab, had the brilliant idea of dyeing his cotton pajamas with a mixture of plant extract, coffee and mulberry juice, to create a
uniform more suitable to warmer climates than the traditional red felt jacket and white flannel trousers. The yellowish-brown colour proved very suitable for everyday Army life in India. The Indians themselves called this colour “Kaki”, meaning “dust coloured”.
Khaki trends
Dockers® has taken the Khaki category and made it its own, taking elements of the cloths rich history and incorporating many elements into its current collection, as well as its more premium range, Dockers® K-1 Collection which was launched in October 2011.
The theme for Dockers K-1 collection was about the British army wear. Their chino pants and jacket that was trendy and comfortable.

Some of the earliest pieces of Khaki apparel which have found their way into the Dockers® brand archive include unique one off garments; a 1920s Deadstock jacket, a WWI Khaki wallet and a series of Preppy t-shirts from the 1950s, as well as Khaki pants ranging from the 1940s to the early 1990s. (these are items we have collected and have stored in Brussels)
In the 1950s, there was the trend of male consumers rising due to their working needs. As Dockers® have a rich heritage, it helped men to have a basic wardrobe of items.
When a guy wants to invest in clothing, he wants something he knows that will not only be durable and dependable, but will last him for the next few seasons. Dockers® has always been less about the "fashion victim" and more about a man who knows what he wants.

According to the latest data, their place in the market remains solid, being the fastest franchise brand in history. It is their effort in making it appealing and Khaki ownership that makes them unique and outstanding from other menswear brands.
In Singapore for such humid weather almost everyday, it is best to find materials that are not thick but comfortable and of good quality. For the past year, there has been a rising trend of khaki pants, suit, shirt or jacket. The Dockers brand has always welcomed competition, since imitation is the basic form of flattery.
Slowly, Dockers input other trends that were upcoming and new collections were hence birthforth.
Crammerton
The military trend forecast remains strong in 2012 and is set to continue for the foreseeable future. Dockers® capitalized on this by utilizing its relationship with the American textile manufacturer Galey & Lord (home of Crammerton cloth), among others, to produce a premium collection of head-to-toe looks.
And others like "College campus life" and "Casual Fridays" also not forgetting "Alpha Skinny".
The latest and new collection of Dockers is "Alpha Skinny".
Seen in the trend that guys are starting to wear skinny pants and ladies have a new collection of style added to their wardrobe.
As personally, I do love wearing skinnies, as they are comfortable and convenient. Browsing through the web, saw Dockers advertisement that their latest collection is Skinny Fit for guys. So to all the guys out there, do not worry about the sizes or style. They are fitting and comfortable, tailored according to the men's lines. Sizes are D0, D1, D2.
