A trip to the Salon~

[Sponsored]

Hello peepos~
Back in writing~
Been really awhile since I last wrote, busy with many things held on hand.
BUT in my free time, i have been watching korean dramas and anime!! YES!! (chuu :33)
Most of the animes I watched happened to have my favourite colour purple!! (*sorry been abit too excited  >.<)

Clannad

Death Parade

Thus, deciding to dye purple. I actually had the decision in mind for quite awhile but due to my work as a hair model, there were occasions I could not dye my own colour that I want. As I have fair skin, Im able to suit many different types of colours from warm to cool. Previously had the hair show that the hairstylist thought I would suit red (which in fact I dislike the colour red, love cool colors!!), hence dyeing and highlighting different colours of red and copper brown.

The hair colour previously dyed for hairshow. The colour kind of faded to brownish copper.

They provide great service, welcoming me with a drink, magazines to keep me away from boredom, also music is played through the sound system so is really a relaxing hair treatment! :D

My hairstylist William helped me to bleach my hair and as well dyeing it. His skills are really good!! You can request for him if you like to trust your hair into good hands! :)

After bleaching my hair, needed to let the hair absorb the colour, resting it for 30mins, also to prevent from drying, he provided a steamer so to moisturise the hair strands from getting brittle.

The colouring part. He uses two different shades of purple, from refrain the colour fading quickly especially after bleached colours. Thus he used the permanent black purple to dye 5cm from the roots. Also he uses blue purple to dye the rest of the hair.

Ta-Da!! The FINISHED RESULT!!

Secretly LOVIN'' it!!! ^.^ hehe

Do remember to quote "Isabella" to receive 15% discount!!
Enjoy your hair treatment at Salon de Choix!!
It is located at 3 Killiney Rd, #01-06 Winsland House 1.

Summertime~

Currently into the hot and sunny Summer season which I supposed many people look forward to are the beaches, relaxation, swimming pools and fun with their friends and family!

But not missing out on the ATTIRE of SUMMERTIME! Such a hot weather, how can we miss out on t-shirt, shorts and flipflops??!! Missing out on the holidays and fun, students?? Hoping to take leave and enjoy yourselves, working adults?? Not to worry, you still can do it during the weekends!!

Looking into the attire and this post is dedicated to all women out there! And yes, is women ONLY!! (probably guys can consider buying presents for your sisters, girlfriends or wives)

Women, fret not. You will still be able to look fabulous and best in this season. :D  I supposed t-shirt or blouse with shorts seems good for a semi-formal outing. But what type of shorts suits best?

Personally I do like high waist shorts as it look good on different heights of women, it actually elongates the pretty legs. It can fit for any occasion as well. Compared to denim shorts, denim shorts is probably is best suited for beach outings or casual outings.

Denim shorts looks cool and there are different designs to it, torn and tattered, prints, diamond studs, floral lace and more. In my own wardrobe, I do have a few denim shorts too.

Recently, there is uprising trend of skorts where the shorts has another layer of cloth covering the front designed to look like a skirt. It is edgy, cool and looks really pretty.

There are a few different designs, flower, simple colours, tribal prints, checkered, etc. Thinking where to find the different range of shorts??

Previously was looking through Zalora website as one of my friends asked me what would I like for my birthday gift. You can find it all on the website of ZALORA, I really personally do love the ranges of shorts they provide from different brands. I do not need to worry where to find the suitable shorts, as I can shop online and just wait for the delivery. The sizes are provided on the size charts, and also if you have a budget, you can do the filtering on the left by clicking on the size system, price, brand and colour. Even in the section of shorts, there is casual ‘n’ tailored shorts list. Everything is done easily with a few clicks. Just that… I will be spoilt for choices.. It is really just too good!! J  It is all highlighted in yellow and orange for easy viewing.

I Love Being a Blogger!!

Firstly, I wanna say being a blogger has all the perks and fun!! :)
It is really awesome and the experience is once in a lifetime!

I started blogging in 2008, as I was an introvert at a very young age I kept diaries. But it was from my friend Shuyu that I learnt about blogging. She introduced to me a blogger Miyake, when I first entered her blog, it was exactly how I wanted to be and later on I kept reading her blog. She really is pretty and I love Japanese stuff. I love the sweet style and theme of her blog, thus it stirred the inside of me to start writing a blog.
I started to read other blogs as well, looking at their unique styles of writing and I started to have my own style of writing as well. I still remember till today, my 1st event I went to was PizzaHut's Tasting session. I remembered at that time Miyake blogged about a post of PizzaHut's new dishes, also a contest of how to enter and get to try out the new dishes. When I knew I was chosen, I was extremely happy because I get to meet her in person and dine free new dishes.

Till now, it has been 6 years. Time flies, I still love to write and read, it brings excitement to me and I will hope to continue till my later age. The most enjoyable part of being a blogger is that you get to voice out your own opinions on different events, food, fashion, lifestyle and many more. I also love going for events (Audi Fashion Festival, Domino's pizza tasting sessions, and many more), meeting other bloggers and make new friends, doing what I love. It has totally bring an eye-opener to the whole new social world out there!! Also totally changing a whole new me, I became interested in getting to meet new people, interested in their lives, the world out there, exploring different areas of Singapore and greater knowledge of stuff I never knew!

Even at times, I do get sponsors and freebies which I do love. haha. I guess almost every Singaporean do love freebies. :) I get to try out new stuff at first hand before others, which to me is the most coolest part!
I love reading and writing, really enjoying to the fullest of what I love to do! :)

Wrapped and Unwrapped!

[Advertorial]

Today's lecture seem to be no end.. It was the most dry lesson compared to the past 8 weeks of lectures.
Hardly comprehend, and brain dead. Bits and pieces that form no line, needed to be research and more readings to be done. More analysing and films to be watch. Taking this module did increase my interest but probably it just have too much information that over-exceeds what is the norm. Just watching a film could actually have so much to interpret, even my classmates would comment 'everything is just over-analysing!'. But well, just hope this will add more to my knowledge instead of my junk bin.
I would like to wrap up this lecture!! Counting down to the days of my exam and hope to end it all soon!

Unwrap good times with KFC Bandito Pockett!

KFC Bandito Pockett packed with so many tasty ingredients, 100% chicken fillet marinated in signature hot & crispy flavor, served on a bed of fresh lettuce, with salsa and mayonnaise, all wrapped in a toasted tortilla. It is every KFC fan’s favourite wrap! Try it now to enjoy a good time!

It is flown in from Japan too!! Yay!! ^_^
It was just right in time for the CNY season too! :)

When the bag reached, it comes in a box. It is wrapped in a cloth like those luxury bags including plastic wrapped over the straps. There's even a small mirror that comes with it, for girls who love to doll up, fret not! You can do it anytime you want! ^_^

There are many different colours you can choose from not just black cherry which is the current bag pictures below. So dun worry if you are not a fan of red! ^_^

Ahoy! Style with ler latest SUMMER collection @ DOCKERS~

Ahhoooyyy mates!
Welcome to DOCKERS on board, attention to all mates!

Let me lead you in to the history of Dockers that you are on board.

How did Dockers all started?

DOCKERS started out in the early 20th century, having the khaki culture. Knowing that every men needs a khaki in their wardrobe, from workplace to gathering with friends.

From its origination more than 25 years ago, Dockers® kick start the industry with a range of clothes that made with good quality and fitting just for the customers requirements which it made its own, gaining popularity was instant. Dockers® Khakis became the alternative to a more formal way of dress, gradually finding its way into the workplace as a more comfortable substitute to the suit. By the mid 1990s, Dockers® hit $1 billion in sales as the brand was launched worldwide including Canada, New Zealand, Chile, Costa Rica, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia and Europe.

Research then showed that Dockers® Khakis were found in the wardrobes of eight out of 10 American men, becoming the definite Khaki pant brand coming out on top despite strong competition from other cheaper High Street brands.

Showing what were their themes and how did they came out with different collections.

Let me give you a history of how Khaki came about. ^_^

Khaki came about in the 1900s as a fashion item, but it started slightly earlier from India in October 1846.
Sir Henry Lumsden, the commanding officer of a British regiment stationed in the Punjab, had the brilliant idea of dyeing his cotton pajamas with a mixture of plant extract, coffee and mulberry juice, to create a
uniform more suitable to warmer climates than the traditional red felt jacket and white flannel trousers. The yellowish-brown colour proved very suitable for everyday Army life in India. The Indians themselves called this colour “Kaki”, meaning “dust coloured”.

Khaki trends
Dockers® has taken the Khaki category and made it its own, taking elements of the cloths rich history and incorporating many elements into its current collection, as well as its more premium range, Dockers® K-1 Collection which was launched in October 2011.

The theme for Dockers K-1 collection was about the British army wear. Their chino pants and jacket that was trendy and comfortable.

Some of the earliest pieces of Khaki apparel which have found their way into the Dockers® brand archive include unique one off garments; a 1920s Deadstock jacket, a WWI Khaki wallet and a series of Preppy t-shirts from the 1950s, as well as Khaki pants ranging from the 1940s to the early 1990s. (these are items we have collected and have stored in Brussels)

In the 1950s, there was the trend of male consumers rising due to their working needs. As Dockers® have a rich heritage, it helped men to have a basic wardrobe of items.
When a guy wants to invest in clothing, he wants something he knows that will not only be durable and dependable, but will last him for the next few seasons. Dockers® has always been less about the "fashion victim" and more about a man who knows what he wants.

In the casual wear apparel market, there are other brands like Cotton On, New Look, and many more. Preferably for myself, I do like Dockers material for their jeans, it's really comfortable and stretchable. It fits my style and being cool in different attire. I do not need to worry will it be weird or funny, as it's stylish and casual at the same time. :D

(The picture below I wore for a filming)

According to the latest data, their place in the market remains solid, being the fastest franchise brand in history. It is their effort in making it appealing and Khaki ownership that makes them unique and outstanding from other menswear brands.

In Singapore for such humid weather almost everyday, it is best to find materials that are not thick but comfortable and of good quality. For the past year, there has been a rising trend of khaki pants, suit, shirt or jacket. The Dockers brand has always welcomed competition, since imitation is the basic form of flattery.

Slowly, Dockers input other trends that were upcoming and new collections were hence birthforth.

Crammerton
The military trend forecast remains strong in 2012 and is set to continue for the foreseeable future. Dockers® capitalized on this by utilizing its relationship with the American textile manufacturer Galey & Lord (home of Crammerton cloth), among others, to produce a premium collection of head-to-toe looks.

And others like "College campus life" and "Casual Fridays" also not forgetting "Alpha Skinny".

The latest and new collection of Dockers is "Alpha Skinny".
Seen in the trend that guys are starting to wear skinny pants and ladies have a new collection of style added to their wardrobe.

As personally, I do love wearing skinnies, as they are comfortable and convenient. Browsing through the web, saw Dockers advertisement that their latest collection is Skinny Fit for guys. So to all the guys out there, do not worry about the sizes or style. They are fitting and comfortable, tailored according to the men's lines. Sizes are D0, D1, D2.

Their latest promotions:
Shirts from $59.90*
Pants at $79.90*
*Minimum 2 pieces

Different ranges of styles and colours to pick for the seasons to wear:

Sizes from S to XL, also have different styles at Dockers besides Alpha Skinny. Like the formal casual or checkered shirts.

Do get it for yourself, your Dads, boyfriends, girlfriends or even couple wear. :) Fit into the casual yet neat style~

Here's a video made for Dockers and to my readers~~     >_<  (apologies for the bad quality)
